Image Processing

Image processing is the set of programming techniques used for changing structural features of an image to enable easier analysis and increase image quality. In image processing, input is an image or video frame while the output can be a (processed) image or video frame or a character, statistic or a set of parameters depending on the application. Operations such as changing the size, color, contrast and brightness of an image and noise, snow and fog elimination are among basic image processing operations which increase image quality and enable easier analysis are all among the abilities of Capra Image Processing Platform. These basic abilities are used in all of our Capra-based products and solutions when necessary. Our first image processing product developed based on Capra Image Processing Platform is plate recognition.

Video Analytics

Video analytics is analysis of a video in with the parameters determined in accordance with the expected results of a specific application. Video analytics is more commonly used in retail and security applications. People counting, which is a typical video analytics application, can be used in security applications, in order to generate alarm when certain conditions occur, as well as in retail sector, in order to get statistical data.

People counting, vehicle counting and fence intrusion detection are among the capabilities of i-bex Video Analytics Platform which are available also as end-products in our product portfolio. Our video analytics products have the high performance features of i-bex Video Analytics Platform and they are compatible with several camera types, operating systems and processor architectures, including embedded processors.

Image Recording/Transmission

We develop software for effective and real-time video recording and transmission besides image processing and video analysis, . Our parallel and multi-core programming infrastructure allows us to develop high performance and effective video recording and transmission products. We continue R&D studies on this field in order to improve our existing products especially for mobile applications. Falco Mobile Digital Video Recorder (Falco MDVR) is the first product that we developed as a result of these R&D studies. Falco Mobile DVR is superior to its competitors with its real-time H.264 compression and video transmission via 3G. Falco Mobile DVR can be used on ViCasa for better performance.

Machine Vision

Automation systems which are used in almost all stages of production process are called “machine vision” when “vision” is required. Main fields in which machine vision is used are quality control, object (bag, box etc.) counting and defect detection. Traditional methods used in manufacturing are ineffective since they depend on human eye and cannot give statistics and data necessary for improving production and quality control processes. We aimed at eliminating disadvantages of traditional methods and ineffectiveness of existing machine vision applications with our machine vision products. Bag counting and textile web inspection are our machine vision products which are developed using Capra Image Processing Platform and i-bex Video Analysis Platform.

Medical Image Processing

Medical image processing is among fields which we intensively focus on. Our medical image processing products are utilized for faster anomaly detection and easy analysis of medical images gathered from various modalities such as CT or MRI. We prioritize conformance of our products with international standards including DICOM 3.0, HL7 and IHE. We continue to meet the needs of healthcare information systems by our medical image processing products Callisto, RADIPACS and Indise, all having performance and usability related features which make them outstanding compared to similar software products. In addition, “Io-RIS”, which will facilitate the user access to DICOM images, patient information, appointments, patient results and enable the management of all kinds of modalities, as well as providing patient query through a server. Io-RIS will be released in 2012.

Hardware

As an image processing company, we develop software for various applications that require high performance and we are aware of the fact that the hardware used in the application is as important as the software. With the support of our partners which are the leaders of their sectors, we can provide consultancy on hardware to our customers. We enable them to have the best hardware solution which perfectly meets the requirements of their application. Besides, we suggest our customers to use our embedded platform ViCasa for high performance and endurance in embedded applications. 3 different models of ViCasa which are specially designed for industrial, mobile (civil and military security) and retail applications will be available soon
