Virtual Makeover Application

Virtual makeover is among the applications that we build on Capra Image Processing Platform. Vitual makeover application will be an interactive application which aims to replace beauty advisors at cosmetics stores and corners.

Customers who buy makeover products should test them on their faces to ensure that the products meet their needs. This process leads to several disadvantages including hygene problems and the difficulty to make avaliable testers in the store or corner. Moreover, supplying testers to all sales points creates extra costs for the cosmetics firms and customers are more likely to be disappointed when they buy products without testing them. Image processing is the unique technology to solve this problem effectively.

Our virtual makeover application includes algorithms which process images captured by cameras and recognize different regions of face. The application will allow users to test different products on their faces virtually, compare with other products and make before-after comparison.

In the following stages of the project the application will generate a 3D model of the user's face and these models will be sent to beauty advisors for their recommendations. The user will be able to test the recommended products on her face's 3D model.

The virtual makeover application will be developed firstly as a kiosk application. Then it will be available on the web and mobile platforms.
